Once again, we will be doing all we can to ensure an environmentally-friendly event.
We will be following the practices of the “sustainable triathlon” label, underscoring our determination to reduce our impact on the environment. Through our “sustainable triathlon”
manager, Jean-Yves Demortière, we will be:
-
Providing sustainable containers for participants (biodegradable, reusable, recyclable, etc.)
-
Eliminating the use of single-use plastic water bottles at hydration zones
-
Ensuring clearly identified refuse collection points at hydration zones to avoid littering
-
Carrying out refuse sorting in partnership with local authorities
-
Encouraging participants and supporters to opt for car-sharing to travel to the Nevers Magny-Cours triathlon to reduce cost and CO² emissions, cut traffic pollution and
reduce the need for parking on site.
